And, just like that, it's the holiday season again! We're bringing a bright and jolly three person exhibit featuring Brandt Berntson, Christian Burchard and Ken Roth. Along with the opening on First Friday December 6th, we will also be hosting an artist talk with Christian starting at 4:30pm. Join us for an artistic conversation and stay for the opening of "In A Different Light" while enjoying a glass of wine, perusing art that sings to the soul and soaking in all that is this festive time of year.
Brandt Berntson's messages of positivity in his paintings are just what we need these days! He lives with his wife, Samantha, in Cache Valley, Utah where he continually studies and seeks to improve his knowledge, skills and craft. Brandt states "In an ever busier world I seek to slow down and look with more intent and appreciation at the world around me and hope others will join me on that journey"
Christian Burchard was born in Hamburg Germany and started his artistic adventures as a furniture maker's apprentice. In 1982 he opened Cold Mountain Studio in Southern Oregon and shifted his focus from furniture and interiors to woodturning and sculpture. Working with Pacific Madrone as his main medium, Christian will slice or turn the natural material as thin as he can enabling movement that depicts the inner life of the tree.
Painter Ken Roth has been working as an artist and educator for the past 25 years and has built a committed following of collectors and students who seek out his work. He considers his teaching as an integral part of his own creative process. "As both a painter and an art lover, I love to engage in the larger conversation of what it all means and how our lives can be enriched by the beauty of handmade things."
