Bend, Oregon's Foremost Contemporary Art Gallery

As we continue to settle into the new year, we are embracing bright color palettes and different artistic mediums with our month long show "From Soul to Surface". February brings to PCA two Oregon artists excited to present new works of art and share their vision with Bend's gallery visitors! Self-taught, Portland artist, Korey Gulbrandson never overthinks his paintings, instead relying on a "less is more" approach that is endlessly captivating. Each of Korey's encaustic pieces start with a hand-crafted wood canvas and evolves with layer upon layer using various mediums manipulated with wax, a torch and carving tools concluding with a surprising plane of texture and color.  Bend sculptor, Andrew Wachs, design and welding talents are far-reaching and ever apparent in his works. Andrew's unique and notable style is muti-versed, as the artist himself says: "Great design speaks for itself and sculpture is my passion. To cross over with both is my ultimate aesthetic but it's also important that it all works in harmony."

Please join us on First Friday, February 2nd, from 5-8pm to meet the artists, enjoy the connection, revel in the conversation and soak in the awe of it all!
