Anton Pavlenko

Anton Pavlenko was home schooled since moving to the US in 1990 from Ukraine. His family always encouraged his artistic endeavors, and he experimented with a variety of mediums. Although he was never formally trained, he managed to create masterful copies of painters whose styles he admired. He didn’t actually consider a career in art as a possibility until a friend offered a trade; one of Anton’s paintings for a plein air easel.  His passion for plein air painting skyrocketed, and he’s been enamored ever since.

Anton’s art career has taken him all over the world. He’s been featured in numerous well regarded publications, even Southwest Art Magazine’s list of “Artists to Watch”. He’s been honored with several awards, and included in prestigious shows in galleries and museums.

Lately, Anton has been exploring deeper, more personal forms of expression.
