Brandt lives with his wife Samantha in beautiful Cache Valley, Utah, where he paints full time from his home. For him art has been a love since childhood. Beginning with a desire to draw his favorite cartoons and comic heroes to fantasy art in High School where he became the Art Scholar. He earned his BFA in painting and drawing from Utah State University as well as a BA in Spanish. He also had the opportunity to study abroad in Germany and to visit many of the great European museums. Brandt continually studies and seeks to improve his knowledge, skills and craft which is a lifelong goal and pursuit. Plein air painting with fellow artist friends is one of his favorite ways to work while talking shop and enjoying the outdoors. His love of travel, music, movies, comedy and people often influence his artistic ideas. Brandt is easy with a laugh and enjoys making new friends wherever he goes.
